Major Projects
Tech.Knowledge
From its inception, the NHSEF has received numerous grant requests to fund technology. These requests have varied from DVD recorders to classroom instructional computers to data/video projectors. A strategy of implementing new methods of engaging students in learning at the school was pivotal for the development of the Tech.Knowledge project. This multi-year project is a comprehensive and consistent approach to establishing a technology enriched school. As of August 2011, twenty classrooms have been converted into SMART CLASSROOMS outfitted with interactive white boards, internet connectivity, clicker systems, scanners, document cameras and other instructional hardware and software tools needed to ensure that NHS students are better prepared for success in college and the job market. The SMART CLASSROOMS are being phased in through a multi-disciplinary approach and are currently installed in classrooms from the following departments: World Languages, Science, Math, Art, Family and Consumer Studies, and Social Studies, Health, and Special Education .
This project is led by the NHSEF Board of Directors, through an advisory Council comprised of leaders in the technology industry, professionals in higher education, NHS staff and the St. Vrain Valley School District working together to develop and fund this project.
