Mini Grants
Description of possible uses:
Materials, Equipment, Bus costs for field trips, etc. (Not to be used for lodging, furniture, or substitute costs) Mini-Grants will not be considered if the event has already occurred, or the materials/equipment have already been purchased.General Information:
Niwot High School Education Foundation was founded in 1994.Mini-Grant applications should be submitted via email to NHSEF.
Maximum total to be awarded per application is $300.00 for all requests except transportation. The maximum to be awarded for transportation is $350.00.
Proposal Due Date is the 1st Monday of the Month for consideration at that month’s meeting.
Applicant will be notified within 10 days after the NHSEF Board of Directors meeting.
Programs and equipment developed with the use of this grant money must be in place by the end of the academic year, and must remain at Niwot High School.
Grant Proposal Requirements:

2.Email Grant Proposal to the Mini-Grant Coordinator.
3.Name(s) or Group submitting the proposal.
-Please identify a contact person for this proposal.
-Include all the members of the group or department if it applies to the proposal.
4.Background.
-Provide some background as to how this idea or proposal came to you.
-Why do you feel this is a need?
-What other funding sources have been investigated?
5.Purpose/Outcomes.
-Provide details about how the grant will be used and how it will affect learning at Niwot High School.
-Provide details about who will be responsible for particular parts or pieces of the proposed project.
-Include an estimate as to the number of students this program or project will affect.
-Describe how this fits with District and Building Goals and/or curriculum.
6.Time Line breakdown.
-Provide a simple time line for implementation and spending of Grant Award.
7.Program/Project Budget.
-Provide a line item budget of all expenses and costs to be incurred.
-Will additional funding be required beyond this proposed amount for continuation in years to come?
-What part of the project will be funded by department and building resources?
8.Evaluation.
-State how success will be measured on this proposal.
9.Published results or Feedback.
-The Niwot High School Education Foundation expects the outcomes of the project or equipment will be disseminated in writing and/or through a demonstration with the Niwot High School community. (This information will not be used to evaluate the success or failure of the Grant Award, but will be used as publicity or communication of the Foundation’s efforts.)
